A quarter-century later, elementary school buddies Raul Bianchi, Adam Peterson and Geoff Weers, along with bassist Ryan DeMars, who joined in 2000, have forged a unique sound born in the laid-back beach life in their hometown of Santa Cruz, CA. The Expendables’ infectious hybrid of ska, surf-rock, punk, reggae and metal can be heard in their latest streaming track, “Surfman Cometh,” a spaghetti-western meets “Pipeline” twang that could easily form the soundtrack to the latest Quentin Tarantino film. The song is the first release from the group’s new and improved Band Room, their longtime rehearsal space in a 1,100 square foot warehouse and former wine cellar on Coral Street, where Adam Patterson took charge of the final mix to great effect.

But then are Slaven Zavođa (guitar and lead vocals), Antonella Paunescu (backing vocals and band glue) and Bojan Kaluđerović (guitar) started hanging out intensively on the other days where the first ones were created original songs. Ivan Gutić played the drums and Dejan Strbacki played the bass guitar. Slaven starts bringing more and more songs that they get from rehearsal to rehearsal its shape. Bojan and Slaven have pretty similar musical taste as before everything is characterized by the same passion for melodiousness in songs. In the next year, a dozen will be created author's songs, starting with local ones gigs and the first desires but also the need to the author's material is recorded. Daniel Zelvenski, known by his stage name Lost Kid Gambit, was born in Tomsk, Siberia in 1993. When he was three years old, his family moved to Israel, where he spent most of his childhood and teenage years. It was during this time that his father introduced him to Hard Rock, which would have a major influence on his life going forward. At the age of 14, Lost Kid Gambit acquired his own guitar and began taking lessons. Two years later, he formed his first metal band, using an old underground rocket shelter as their rehearsal space. It was around this time that he was also introduced to the underground culture of Psytrance music. Lost Kid Gambit became fully immersed in the rave scene in Israel, and learned how to produce music from one of the top acts in the scene at the time.
