Rosalino Sánchez Félix, conocido como Chalino Sánchez, nació en una pequeña localidad en el estado de Sinaloa, el territorio de las bandas por excelencia y falleció a la temprana edad de 31 años en la capital de su estado natal, Culiacán. De familia numerosa, durante su niñez y adolescencia sufrió carencias y pasó parte de su vida en los Estados Unidos realizando trabajos de todo tipo. Fue en estas regiones en que cosecharía gran cantidad de seguidores de su música. Grabó tanto con tambora como con grupo norteño, pero fueron sobre todo sus corridos los que le dieron espectacular empuje, además del apelativo de “El Rey Del Corrido”. Conoció el éxito en vida y gozó ser de los artistas que desplazaban grandes cantidades de discos. Es por demás conocido su particular estilo interpretativo, honesto y original, mismo que a la fecha nadie, de entre sus tantos imitadores, ha podido igualar. No cabe duda que Chalino fue un alma enamorada de su pueblo, de sus tradiciones y de su música.
