I am an Orthodox Christian who has a passion for plants. I enjoy traveling the world visiting beautiful gardens and monasteries, and have included many of my visits on this channel. I also enjoy talking about theology and our spiritual journey towards God, through Jesus Christ. As I work in my gardens, it is an act of worship and communion with God - I find peace. I believe that the garden is part of our spiritual DNA. It is not only a place of beauty but a haven for prayer, contemplation, confession, and praise. I don't believe people fully appreciate how deeply the garden can help us in dealing with the many spiritual struggles we encounter in life. There is a certain lush ripeness that comes with age. Time seasons all persons and all relationships. After a few years of married life, the butterflies in your stomach fly off and your heart no longer skips a beat at the sight of your lover. The narcotic symptoms of being in love fade, and you're left with a very different feeling. If you are lucky, you will find yourself happily anchored to an existence that you cannot easily stray from. When we began writing songs together, we realized that our music also refused to stray. There are many love songs, though more about love the way it is well after the chocolate coating has gone off and neither one is too eager to impress or please.
