We are Matthew and Cassidy and we live full time in our tiny yurt home (with our cat Kitty and our pup Bosley). We are part owners and operators of a resort / outfitter in northern Minnesota and plan to post all about our building and property projects. We are about 55 miles from the nearest town and surrounded by protected wilderness areas. When we are not relaxing in our yurt we are running the canoe outfitter for the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. That is how we make our money and how we are able to have this space to call home! We have a passion of renovating spaces and making them into our own. I am obsessed with all things Boundary Waters, Quetico and Backcountry Fishing and canoe camping. I love to share what I have learned and teach others the glory of backcountry canoe travel, camping and fishing. There is definitely a lack of information out there for those who seek to chase trophy fish in the backcountry on foot or from a canoe, and I plan to fill that void.
