I’ve had a crazy life. It’s insane what’s happened just since starting to upload! Add a few decades to that. I post random life, chaos, and nature I come across.

I had the corporate IT job day after day but it wasn't fulfilling. After finding out about solo long distance backpacking I decided to go on a lot of long backpacking trips and otherwise live out of my converted 4Runner. Driving around this great country and see everything I feel like seeing, mostly outdoor activities, is what I really wanted to do. In 2018 I thru hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, in 2019 I thru hiked the Wonderland Trail, in 2021 I thru hiked the Arizona Trail, and now in 2022 I will be thru hiking the Appalachian Trail. It all started with a childhood dream that had been tucked away neatly in the back of my mind. When I was 10 years old my family took a vacation to the Smoky Mountains. We went to Newfound Gap and hiked about a mile on the Appalachian Trail. Dad told me it went all the way to MaineI When we turned around to go back to the parking area I distinctly remember looking over my shoulder, wanting to keep going toward Maine. Fast forward to present day and I thought it impractical to leave my career and set off on a trail for months. The thing about big dreams is they nag at you until you can’t be comfortable anymore. That’s when Jonathan, my husband (aka “Platinum) and I decided to go on our first backpacking trip in 2018-to section hike the Smokys on the Appalachian Trail. When we finished he said I want to hike the whole trail with you-let’s find a way to make it happen. So we did! I returned in 2014 to hike the Pacific Crest Trail, thruhiked the Continental Divide Trail in 2015, and have been exploring a variety of trails across the US since.
