Ecuador Joins WIPO's Beijing Treaty on Audiovisual Performances

WIPO Director General Daren Tang welcomes Ecuador's accession to the Beijing Treaty on Audiovisual Performances. Ecuador is the 42nd State covered by the Treaty, which gives actors and other audiovisual performers more rights to their work, improving their earning conditions.

Ambassador José Valencia, Permanent Representative of Ecuador to the WTO and other economic international organizations in Geneva, deposited the instrument of accession with WIPO Director General Daren Tang on May 3, 2021.
