Your Golf recognises you and automatically activates your personal driver profile*, regardless of the on-board equipment – from the seat adjustment and lighting to your ideal temperature. You can conveniently make your preferred settings in the optional Innovision Cockpit featuring the 25.4 cm (10″) digital cockpit instrument cluster together with the 25.4 cm (10″) Discover Pro navigation system. In addition to displaying standard information such as the speedometer, tachometer and odometer, the digital cockpit can also display other useful data. For example, you can use the entire display as a navigation map.

The large screen size of the Discover Media and Discover Pro navigation systems displays various functions using elegant graphics and animation, just like on your smartphone. You can even design the home screen yourself using your own images and favourite functions.

The digital cockpit instrument cluster displays the information that is most important to you on a high-resolution 25.4 cm (10″) colour display as standard. Select the optimal display according to your personal preferences. For example, choose between displaying standard information such as the speedometer, tachometer and odometer, or a visual display of your assistance systems or a combination of the navigation map and media display – always with elegant graphics and animation.

With optional intuitive voice control, you can use your voice to control the radio, telephone, air conditioning system and navigation system in your Golf. Voice command enables you to tune to the right radio station, choose the correct entry in your address book or dial the telephone number you want to call. Plus, with online voice control from We Connect Plus, your Golf now understands you even better. Choose your favourite music online or intuitively navigate to the destination in your navigation system.

The Golf comes equipped with LED main headlights as standard and is visibly dynamic thanks to its low-slung front section and wings in the rear. The integrated fog lights are also a standard feature, as is the striking four-eye design. The rear end also impresses with slim LED headlights which dominate the rear view. The IQ.LIGHT LED Matrix headlights with Dynamic Light Assist are also optionally available and automatically distribute light according to road traffic conditions.

Give your Golf more personality. Softly illuminate the interior with 10 colours. If desired, a palette of up to 32 different colours is available. Whether cool or warm lighting, driving in the bright city or crossing over a dark rural road at night, you can create a fitting atmosphere for you and your passengers.

The Golf features a dynamic design, downward sloping front end with slim LED Matrix headlights in a four-eye design and the new Volkswagen logo. Every aspect is completely harmonious and coherently coordinated, just as you would expect from Golf. The slim rear lights, between which the new logo and straight Golf lettering are located, dominate the equally slim new rear end. The exhaust pipes recede discreetly beneath the stylish rear end diffuser.

The automatic cruise control (ACC) allows you to maintain a preset maximum speed* and a certain distance from the vehicle in front of you. Together with a navigation system, the ACC is enhanced with predictive cruise control and curve assistance. This helps you avoid speeding by adhering to the official speed limit.** In addition, the system adapts its speed to curves, intersections (turns) and roundabouts using route data from the navigation system.**

With the optional Travel Assist, you have an extremely useful driving assistant on board. It ensures superb driving comfort* at the push of a button by assisting you in mundane and tiring driving situations.

Travel Assist keeps your vehicle in the lane and maintains your speed while also keeping distance from the traffic ahead, especially on motorways and wide rural roads.
In conjunction with the dual-clutch transmission (DSG), you can easily drive through queues and stop-and-go traffic.
