Ripe ethapazham - 1

Grated coconut - 5 tbsp

Wheat flour - 4 tbsp

Powdered cardamom - aa needed

Water - as needed for batter

Sugar - ¾ cup

Water for caramel - 5 tbsp + 1 flaws hot water

Ghee - 5 tbsp

Salt - 2 pinches

To make this delicious sweet snack, first add a very ripe banana into your mixer grinder jar along with 5 tablespoons of grated coconut and 4 tablespoons of wheat flour..

next, add some powdered cardamom as per your taste and add enough water and grind it into a smooth paste and set it aside.

Once the paste is ready, prepare caramel in a saucepan using ¾ cup of sugar and 5 tablespoons of water.

After adding 5 tablespoons of water to the sugar, stir it and let it cook on a medium flame until it starts to melt and caramelise.

Keep stirring once it starts to change colour from the sides and do not keep the flame too low, else the colour of the sugar will not change. You should also not keep the flame very high so that there is chance for the caramel to burn.

After the caramel has turned to a golden colour, lower the flame and very carefully at a cup of hot water into the prepared caramel and mix it really well so that the caramel mixes really well with the water and forms a clear solution.

Once this clear solution is ready, add two tbsp of ghee to it and mix until the ghee is melted..

Next, add the prepared paste carefully into this caramel solution and keep mixing on a medium to low flame until the mixture starts to thicken up.

Give it a little time in the pan so that the ingredients can cook as well.

After a few minutes, the paste will start to chicken and at that point, add a tablespoon more of ghee and keep cooking.

Keep adding a tablespoon of ghee at regular intervals and cook the paste until the paate starts to leave the pan and looks thick.

When the base starts to leave the pen, transfer it into a steel plate greased with some ghee and let it cool.

After the snack has school, flip it on to another played, cut and serve..

The snack is very delicious and buttery and will melt in your mouth..!!
