With a powerful contralto voice, a very energetic stage presence, and a unique and electrifying style, Celia Cruz, worldwide known as the “Queen of Salsa” endeared many people across countries and generations. Celia Caridad Cruz Alfonso was born on October 21, 1925, in Havana, Cuba. In 1950, she began to sing professionally with a Cuban orchestra called, “La Sonora Matancera”. With an Afro-Cuban music style and legendary recordings. After moving to New York City in 1960, she began a series of musical collaborations with Tito Puente, Johnny Pacheco, Willie Colón, Ray Barretto, and the Fania All-Stars. Celia continued reinventing herself, collaborating with musicians such as Marc Anthony, David Byrne, Gloria Estefan, Patti LaBelle, and hip-hop singer Wyclef Jean in addition to performing short dramatic roles in a few films. She received numerous awards including three GRAMMY Awards, four Latin GRAMMY Awards, the President’s National Medal of Arts (1994), and honorary doctorates.

Canal Oficial del cantante Bobby Cruz Bobby natural del pueblo de Hormigueros, Puerto Rico. Nació el 2 de febrero de 1938 en un humilde hogar campesino. A la edad de doce años viajó con su familia a radicarse en la ciudad de Nueva York. A lo largo de la década de 1950 continúo sus estudios, dedicándose rápidamente la música, pues compuso, tocó el bajo y se inclinó por el canto. A los veinte años ya había conformado una agrupación musical, conocida como Bobby Cruz y su Conjunto. También hizo parte de otro grupo llamado Los Ases del Ritmo. En 1964 surgió la agrupación que eventualmente terminaría llamándose La Orquesta de Richie Ray & Bobby Cruz. Bobby hizo uno de los temas mas popularizados de las Estrellas Fania, "Ahora Vengo Yo"

Tropical Artist Charlie Cruz is one of the new stars of the salsa music genre. His start was well received by the Puerto Rican recording industry. His models were exponents of the Afro-Caribbean genre such as Héctor Lavoe and Frankie Ruiz. His love of salsa began as a 10-year-old, when he became a backup singer in the orchestra of his father, Fonzy Cruz. The more he was exposed to music, the more he loved it. As he gained stage experience and worked with established salsa hit makers, Cruz realized how much he truly loved the genre. His life changed drastically when he was invited to perform at a concert and share the stage with top acts like Gilberto Santa Rosa, Victor Manuelle and Tito Nieves. As a result of this performance, he was signed by Sir George Records. Charlie now with his own label (PalRuffo Music) is releasing his best music yet!

The Fania All-Stars popularized New York salsa during the 1970s by organizing concerts that spotlighted the salsa world's biggest stars -- Featuring a lineup of Ray Barretto, Willie Colón, Johnny Pacheco, Rubén Blades, Hector Lavoe, Ismael Miranda, Cheo Feliciano, Bobby Cruz, Pete "El Conde" Rodriguez, and special guests like Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, and Eddie Palmieri. Fania All-Stars usually recorded their albums live and featured long jams with plenty of space for solos for each of the salsa heroes on-stage at the time. The Fania All-Stars recorded eight studio albums during the 1980s, gradually moving from the overly polished sound of the late '70s to a more organic Latin jazz. In 1994, the group celebrated the 30th anniversary of Fania Records with live dates in San Juan, Miami, and New York.
