We want to entertain people with history which is visually pleasing, grounded in scholarship, and properly researched at the same time. Our golden rules: 1) We only use academic sources and always try to stick to the consensus opinion. 2) We always list our sources in description of our videos. 3) We make clear when we deviate from the prior two rules. Education: Between the two of us we hold two Master's degrees in history from the university of Bern, Switzerland and one degree as a history teacher from the Bern University of Teacher Education. Both of us worked at the University of Bern as teaching assistants. We wrote an article about our experience as content creators which was published in a collective volume edited by Dr. Kilian Baur and Robert Trautmannsberger: https://www.degruyter.com/document/doi/10.1515/9783110792898-005/html We also held a few talks about our journey on YouTube at the universities of Eichstätt (Germany), Fribourg and Zürich (Switzerland).

SandRhoman Geschichte will zeigen, dass es möglich ist mit Geschichte(n) zu unterhalten, die visuell ansprechend, wissenschaftlich fundiert und trotzdem verständlich ist. Wir präsentieren die aktuellen Ansichten von Historikerinnen und Historikern aus unserer eigenen Perspektive und machen dabei immer klar, woher wir unsere Informationen haben. Damit haben unsere Zuschauer die Möglichkeit, sich selbst zu informieren, nachzulesen und sich selbst eine eigene Meinung zu bilden. Das höchste Ziel bleibt es dabei aber stets, Geschichtsvideos zu kreieren, die Spaß machen.

SandRhoman Histoire veut montrer qu'il est possible de se divertir avec des histoires qui sont visuellement attrayantes, scientifiquement fondées et néanmoins compréhensibles. Nous présentons les constats actuels des historiens tout en y incluant notre propre point de vue, mais en précisant toujours d'où nous tirons nos informations, bien entendu. Nos spectateurs ont ainsi la possibilité de s'informer, de lire et de se faire leur propre opinion. L'objectif principal reste toutefois de créer des vidéos historiques amusantes.
