The Oslo Philharmonic is a symphony orchestra of international renown. It was formed in 1919 and today has 108 musicians in its ranks. The Oslo Philharmonic plays between 60 and 70 concerts in Oslo each year, mostly at Oslo Concert Hall, but also at several other venues. The orchestra has a broad symphonic repertoire, plays with internationally acclaimed soloists and conductors and regularly tours in Norway and abroad. Klaus Mäkelä is the orchestra´s chief conductor.

Das Münchener Percussion-Ensemble wurde 1988 von Adel Shalaby nach seiner Berufung an die Hochschule für Musik und Theater München (damals: Richard-Strauss-Konservatorium) gegründet. Sein Repertoire an verschiedensten Musikrichtungen aus aller Welt, ermöglicht den Musikern, Schlaginstrumente einem breiten Publikum näher zu bringen. Ihren hohen künstlerischen Anspruch konnten die Musiker unter der Leitung von Adel Shalaby zudem in zahlreichen Projekten und Produktionen u.a. am Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, beim Bayrischen Rundfunk, am Cairo Opera House und am Royal Opera House of Muscat unter Beweis stellen. Gemeinsam mit erlesenen Streichern der Münchner Hochschule für Musik trat das Ensemble im Jahr 2012 erstmals als Münchner Streicher und Percussion Orchester auf. Die Zusammenarbeit wurde durch Gastsolisten und Musiker des Cairo Symphonie Orchester abgerundet, und gipfelte in herausragenden Konzerten am Cairo Opera House und dem Royal Opera House of Muscat.

Michael has been a french horn player of the Manila Symphony Orchestra since 2014 and is currently an principal of the Horns section. He has performed with the orchestra in gala concerts, special concerts, ballet productions,outreach concerts, and tours including MSO Visayas Concert Tour, Candon Music Festival and MSO’s first international concert in the 5th Hunhe River Symphony Art Festival held in the Shenjing Grand Theater, Shenyang, China in 2019. In 2020 he won First runner-up in Philippine Horns Society’s First Leopoldo Lopez Horn Competition. His winning piece was Richard Strauss’ Andante for Horn and Piano. Michael was the former principal french horn player of Bureau of Fire Protection NCR Marching Band in 2009.He was recently appointed as a leader and teacher of beginner musicians of his marching band,Malabon Banda Cuatro. I am now doing arrangement for piano of old Myanmar songs that I loved as a child, in collaboration with a friend from the Phillipines Gil Santos Hizon since its nearly impossible to get Myanmar songs in international notation.
