התזמורת האנדלוסית הישראלית נוסדה ב-1994 בעיר אשדוד המשמשת כמשכנה הקבוע. מאז ועד היום משמרת התזמורת האנדלוסית הישראלית ומפיצה את המורשת המוסיקלית שנוצרה בתקופת תור הזהב בספרד. במשך מאות שנים חיברו יהודים ומוסלמים מילים משלהם ללחנים זהים, אלה בעברית ואלה בערבית. עם השנים, הפכו שירים אלה לליבה הפועם של מסורת הפיוט המפוארת של יהדות צפון אפריקה- גשר תרבותי אמיתי בין היהדות לאסלם. בשנת 2006 זכתה התזמורת האנדלוסית בפרס ישראל: "על התרומה שהרימה לחברה הישראלית בהעמדת הפיוט, השירה והמוסיקה האנדלוסית הישראלית. על הצלחתה להפוך את המוסיקה האנדלוסית ואת שירת הפיוטים לחלק מצבעי התרבות הישראלית בת זמננו." התזמורת האנדלוסית מונה 40 נגנים, חלקם מנגנים על פי תווים, בכלים קלאסיים מערביים וחלקם גדלו מינקותם על המוסיקה האנדלוסית, מנגנים על פי הזיכרון ומתרגלים את היצירות המתנגנות מדור לדור. חלק בלתי נפרד מהיצירה המוסיקלית האנדלוסית הם השירה והפיוטים וסולני התזמורת שולטים ברזיהם של הפיוט העברי והערבי. לאורך השנה מופיעה התזמורת בפני אלפי אנשים ברחבי הארץ והעולם וגם לוקחת חלק בפעילות מבורכת.

The Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra was found in 2011 by a group of Amsterdam musicians who shared a deep desire to present the rich currents of Andalusian music. The orchestra has performed in prestigious venues in The Netherlands, Belgium and Morocco, and has worked - amongst others - with some of Morocco's top international musicians. In addition to playing music, the orchestra produces musical theatre performances and is the initiator of the Ud Festival of The Netherlands. Hanan Levy Sorelo - Musician, Flamenco Guitarist, Writer, Composer and Arranger. Born in Bat Galim, Haifa in 1978. Started playing guitar at age 13, studied music at the Dunie Weizman Conservatory and at Hed College on the composition track, as well as with the top teachers in Israel and the world. Sorelo plays with Lior Elmaliach and is also part of the Maurice El Medioni Musical Ensemble. He has played with the Andalusian Orchestra. José Fernandez is an Andalusian gypsy singer, composer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He masters the drums, the guitar, the piano, the bass under various forms, percussion, and even the Greek Bouzouki. After the smashing success of José´s concerts in duet with the tarab legend, Wadih El Safi, and the Arabo-Andalusian orchestra, they recorded an album together. In the summer 2002 he released his album "Makhlouta" which corresponds to a Lebanese dish of vegetables and beans mix, signifying the mix of musical «ingredients». Performing internationally, in hundreds of the world’s biggest festivals and concerts, José continues to enhance his career to gratify his motivation. In summer 2018, he released his long awaited album "El Momento" which combines his powerful yet heart melting voice and music fusion to continue to make listeners sail around the Greek islands, inhale the scent of morning blooms, taste the spices of Morocco and sense the warmth of the sun in Malaga.

Shmuel Elbaz is one of the foremost and most versatile musicians who has emerged from Israel. He performs as a mandolin artist and as a conductor with all major orchestras in Israel including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and others worldwide. In 2019 he was invited by the Philadelphia Orchestra directed by Maestro Ynnick Nézet-Séguin and Artolerance organisation to play as a soloist special program which combines classical and andalusian music. Since 2016, Shmuel has been appointed as associate music director of the Israel NK Orchestra. Shmuel was the first Israeli who brought the mandolin to the front of the stage as a classical solo instrument . His world premiere recordings of the Bach Sonatas and Partitas and Mozart violin sonatas performed on a mandolin, has raised great interest and was broadcasted on numerous radio stations.
