At a time when bands have become bland, GWAR stands out for their performances and the intimate connection with their fans. January 24, 2010 I am a big RUSH fan and like everything about the band - the musicianship, the songs and lyrics, the live performances and the fact that they've achieved incredible success entirely on their own terms. I spent countless hours in my teens and early twenties trying my best to learn these songs note for note. I recently dusted off my basses and revisited some of my favorites. In addition to my Rush covers, I play along with other songs that I think are interesting, specifically from a bass player's perspective.
