Albatross Nepal is a Nepali alternative rock band from Kathmandu, Nepal. Formed in 1998 as a three-piece school band, Albatross has made a landmark in the Nepali music scene. It all began when a couple of guys joined hands came together with their rusted guitars and other old instruments to transcend the sound of Nepali Alternative music, each of which has significantly influenced the music which the band creates. The band's fast tempos, signature chord progression and contemporary compositions has made them one of the pioneers of rock music in Nepal.

The Edge Band Nepal is a pop rock band from Nepal, formed in 1998 by youths of Pokhara. The first album was released in 2000. Over time, the band members left the group except Jeewan Gurung, the lead singer. In 2006 Vibes was released as the second album, which gained popularity and established the band in the Nepali music industry. The Edge band has given countless great songs such as Mero Ashu, Thaha Chaina, Nachaheko Hoina Timilai, Samjhine Mutu, Yo Dil Mero, Kasailai Pani Ma, Timro Yaad, Dukha Diyera, Nachodnu yo saath, and many more. This band has helped to take the Nepali music industry to another level. Bipul is a singer/songwriter from Kalimpong, Darjeeling, based in New Delhi. Taking inspiration from the folk sounds of the Himalayas, his music is reminiscent of tunes and melodies long forgotten in the space of time. A LTCL (Licentiate of Trinity College, London) Diploma holder in western classical guitar, he heads the Arts Department at the Vasant Valley School in New Delhi when he is not travelling to perform. He has two EPs, ‘Sketches of Darjeeling’ and ‘Samaya’, a full length album ‘Maya’ as well as several singles to his credit. He has toured and performed at sold out concerts across the world with The Travelling Band.

In 2015, Rohit released an album by the same name, which established him firmly as a talent to watch. At the same time, he was asked to sing ‘Priyasiko’ for Gopal Yonjan’s tribute album ‘Gopalaya’. That year, Rohit was awarded Hits FM Best New Artist of the Year. “I was working and study at the Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory at the time, and had realized that this is what I want to do: I want to play music and sing as professionals do.” It was around this time that he was noticed by Sanjay Shrestha, drummer from 1974AD, Nepal’s most famous rock band. Niran, Jimi and Govin grew together as musicians performing in college events, farewell parties and a strong sense of creating a team that would unite and ignite the music was always a motivating element but yet to be polished and discovered back then. In the year 2008, the “sprite band challenge” opened the golden doors to success.Their triumph soon had the air fragranced with their music, especially “Din”.
