Barcelona Gipsy balKan Orchestra (BGKO) is the evolution of former Barcelona Gipsy Klezmer Orchestra. After so much intense work and growth, we responded to an urge to expand our artistic horizons. While we remain very interested in Klezmer music, we also want to gather inspiration from a wider spectrum of genres. Balkan music is, for us, a set of musical traditions and multiethnic cultures that surpass geographical confines, drawing on the historical traditions that have forever inhabited these lands: Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews, Gypsies, Ottomans, Arabs... May 2023 - BGKO is formed by Margherita Abita (voice, Italy), Ivan Kovačević (doublebass, Serbia), Julien Chanal (guitar, France) , Xavi Pendón (clarinet, Spain), Oleksandr Sora (violin, Ukraine) / Pere Nolasc Turu (violin, Spain) , Fernando Salinas (accordion, Spain) and Albert Enkaminanko (percussion, Spain) NOTE: Sandra Sangiao left BGKO in October 2019 and Mattia Schirosa in March 2021 - Thanks for all those years!!

Entschuldigt bitte, wir waren in diesem Bereich nicht gebildet und hatten keine Ahnung!
