Epignosis - Deeper into Astrology This channel is dedicated to the study of Hellenistic astrology in general and more specifically the concept of ‘lots’, better - but wrongly - known as ‘Arabic parts’. This study is mainly based on the work of Robert Schmidt and his Restoration of the Greek-Hellenistic roots of western astrology. I am fascinated by the work he did and the vistas it opened, as it reconnected astrology and horoscopy with some deep philosophical principles that survived in western esoteric traditions. I will publish videos here highlighting the ongoing research into this topic, the theory/theories behind it and the use in chart-delineation. My approach is based on a model - inspired by Robert Schmidt - that underlies most esoteric teachings and can be characterized as 'the path downward and the path upward'. It helps to understand basic principles of esoteric philosophy and astrology as an ancient science of life.
