JOHN C. TIBBETTS is a retired Professor at the University of Kansas, where for more than 25 years he taught courses in film history, media studies, and theory and aesthetics. He is an author, educator, broadcaster, as well as an artist and pianist. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Kansas in Multi-Disciplinary Studies (Art History, Theater, Photography and Film). As a broadcaster and journalist and scholar he has worked as a news reporter for CBS Television and National Public Radio; produced classical music programming for Kansas Public Radio; written (and illustrated) many books, including The Dark Side of G.K. Chesterton: Gargoyles and Grotesques, The Furies of Marjorie Bowen, The Gothic Worlds of Peter Straub, Those Who Made It: Conversations with the Legends of Hollywood, Peter Weir: Interviews. He was awarded in 2008 the Kansas Governor’s Arts in Education Award, presented by Governor Kathleen Sebelius.

Elegy Of Madness is an Italian Symphonic Metal band founded in 2006 by Tony Tomasicchio. In 2009, they released their first album 'The Bridge of Sighs' and in 2013 'Brave Dreams', which was promoted through festivals and opening concerts for big bands like Arkona and Sabaton. In 2017, they released their third album titled 'New Era' with a limited Japanese edition. After numerous concerts in Italy and Europe, performing as an opening band for big names like Amorphis, Therion, Lacuna Coil, touring Ukraine, Latvia, Croatia, and England, they performed in a theater in southern Italy with a symphonic orchestra, releasing their fifth album "Invisible World" and then the comic book "The Story of Invisible World". Since 2022, the talented soprano Kyrah Aylin has become the new singer of Elegy of Madness. In 2023, the band composed and recorded their new album "XI", which will be released on October 20th by Scarlet Records.

Hi everyone! I'm from Italy, but I wrote this short description in English because all of my videos will be more viewed in England than in my own country. As you can see from the videos, I'm one of the greatest fans of the british rock band Feeder My music tastes have changed a lot over the years, but Feeder have always been my fave band, and they're the only ones I really like in the Indie rock genre. I listen basically to all kinds of rock (even if my favourite is progressive rock) and metal (except Death and Gothic metal which I respect but don't really appeal to me, they give me nothing in terms of emotions). My favourite bands, apart from Feeder are: Dream Theater, Radiohead, Muse, Yes, Queen, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Queensryche, Nirvana, Rush, Helloween, Placebo, Green Day, Guns N' Roses, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Megadeth, Judas Priest, Foo Fighters. As for the "private" sphere of my life, I can say that I have an amazing girlfriend who I love more than my own life, we're extremely happy together and my life would be completely meaningless without her. We live 120 kilometres far from each other, but we manage to see quite often! We are those 2 you see in the photo in the background, which was taken in Octoer 2009. I'm currently attending the Pharmacy faculty at the University of Siena. I hate the way the modern society affects people's lives and all the corrupted politicians who rule my country and all around the world, I can't stand dishonest people and all those who want power and money for their own advantages without caring for others. My country is going through hard times politics-wise: The Church, money wastes, corruption and tax evasion keep making the situation worse and destroy our economy. Politicians increase their salary while they demand sacrifices to people who barely manage to survive with the money they earn from their honest work, schools are going through continuous financial cuts and teachers get fired up, so that children and teenagers grow up ignorant and fooled by Berlusconi's televisions, who COMMANDS everything and is slowly dragging Italy down to the edge.
