The prize-holder and champion of numerous contests not only in her home country, but also of many leading international festivals. She began training her first workshops at the young age of 14. What's important to mention, is that Darina is the real professional, in fact she holds a degree in physiotherapy and rehabilitology. Darina is also the creator of her famous DIVA STYLE and the unique oriental dance teaching system, based on techniques of safe usage of muscles and joints. Currently she is one of the world's leading teachers, working at the most prestigious international festivals. As a guest star and oriental dance guru Darina has already visited 38 countries. I am an Ukrainian dancer inspired by Bollywood movies since 11. I traveled with the group "Lotus" around Soviet Union with my Indian dance show in 1988-1991, then graduated from Nizhyn College of Culture in choreography department - ballet, folkloric dance and composition 1991-1994. Then I moved to Moscow, Russia to learn Kathak and met my Kathak master Aswani Nigam. At the same time I was practicing belly dancing as well. My great teachers were Alla Kaplanovna Zhanataeva, Natalya Strelchenko (Fadda) and many videos... I became a Bellydance Champion of Russia in 2003 and prize winner in many other competions in Russia in 2002- 2004 before I left to the US. In June 2007 I competed in Belly Dancer USA and won Peoples Choice Award as well as placing 2nd in the Soloist category. Now I leave and teach Bellydance and Bollywood dance in Seattle, WA.
