The Bangles formed in 1981 in Los Angeles as The Bangs and quickly became an integral part of the burgeoning 'Paisley Underground' music scene before getting signed and skyrocketing to the top of the charts all over the world with a string of hit singles including "Manic Monday", "Walk Like an Egyptian" and "Eternal Flame". After breaking up in 1989, the band reunited in 1998 and have remained together ever since.
