IMQ is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise smug music industry. Hailing from Long Beach, California (Ghanaian heritage ), rapper/singer/composer with much audacity and spunk. At the tender age of 7, IMQ discovered the prowess of his vocal instrument. He began experimenting and testing the depths of his musical creativity at age 10, learning to compose and write his own music. He learned to sing by mimicking songs that he heard on the radio and Disney animations. IMQ’s first work of art was developed with Steve Milne from Grounds for Dismissal, entitled “What Love Feels Like.” Self-sufficient and independent, IMQ brilliantly taught himself to produce music using a music software program called Cakewalk. The decision to dedicate his being to music was not an easy one. For IMQ, this was the decision to devote his life to his music,... Musical influences are: Drake, Weeknd, Kanye West, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Baby, & Travis Scott.
