Soulja Boy

DeAndre Cortez Way (born July 28, 1990), known professionally as Soulja Boy Tell 'Em, or simply Soulja Boy, is an American rapper, record producer, actor and entrepreneur. In September 2007, his debut single "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" peaked at number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The single was initially self-published to the internet, and later became a number-one hit in the United States for seven non-consecutive weeks starting in September 2007.[6] On August 17, Way was listed at number 18 on the Forbes list of Hip-Hop Cash Kings of 2010 for earning $7 million for that year.[7] His second studio album Souljaboytellem.com (2007) was his most successful album to date. His next two albums, iSouljaBoyTellem (2008) and The DeAndre Way (2010) did not match the commercial success of his debut, despite the success of several singles across both albums, such as "Kiss Me Thru the Phone", "Turn My Swag On" and "Pretty Boy Swag".

Not really much to describe...I love music, and I post what I like for someone else to enjoy. I started this channel to post Stevie songs, because I got into him later in life. I was a kid in the 80's, so didn't really know 70's Stevie, and felt it a crime that I didn't. The more I dug the more amazed I was with him and his career, so I figured wth, lemme upload all his stuff and hopefully someone else will get to discover him like I did. Turned into much more than that, made me realize how many people love and respect him and being able to bring back memories for folks is pretty cool. So check around and enjoy yourself.

A Tribe Called Quest

A Tribe Called Quest is one of hip-hop’s most legendary, beloved and revered groups of all time. A pioneer of alternative hip-hop, ATCQ’s style is easily recognized for their unique approach to rap music by employing jazz infused soundscapes to playful rhymes. The debut album, People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, released in 1990, includes “Bonita Applebum" and “Can I Kick It?”. However, it was the sophomore album, The Low End Theory, which helped the group rise to commercial and critical success and earned them a spot on Rolling Stone’s Greatest Albums of All Time with songs like “Buggin’ Out,” “Check the Rhime,” and “Scenario.” ATCQ went on to release three more studio albums 1993 – 1998 before taking a break. After 18 years of silence, ATCQ surprised the world with the release of a sixth (and final) studio album We got it from Here... Thank You 4 Your Service in November of 2016 which includes original members, Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, and Jarobi.

Phat Tape

I grew up in the 90's and love hip hop. I make beats inspired by my favorite artists of the 90's era. My favorite producers are DJ premier, Havoc from Mobb Deep, RZA, Buckwild, Erick Sermon, Rhythm D, DJ Slip, Lord Finesse, Pete Rock, Large Professor, Dr. Dre, Q Tip, Dj Muggs, The Alchemist, Easy Mo Bee, Diamond D among others. For my Phat Tapes, I have edited every track to some degree and even made instrumentals out of songs that did not have official instrumental versions available. I like to include instrumentals at certain points during the compilations to add to the overall atmosphere of that year. A simple cross fade is applied between tracks. I try to showcase tracks from the east, west, south, and midwest to take you back in time to each year in hip hop. I spend many hours making these this because I love digging through albums and editing all of the classic tracks from these great artists and sharing them with others who appreciate good hip hop.

G90

Welcome to my channel. I have been a rap and hip hop fan since the early 1990s. My first introduction to rap was hearing bone thugs and harmony blaring from my brothers Sony Walkman. I was then introduced to 2pacs California love and his all eyes on me album not knowing I was listening to hip hop legends. Before becoming a Stan , it was all about death row, snoop doggy dog and the dog pound. But those guys all surfaced when I was really young and I was always playing catch up. The first time I heard Eminem it was when he released hi my name is. Then I found a mix cd with his track go to sleep with Dmx and I was eager to find more. I then stole his first album the slim shady lp from my cousin and that was it from there. I have a wealth of knowledge that has to be shared with fellow stans who are the best fans in the world and I am to do this with my shorts and videos. Enjoy my content and please like and subscribe. J Dilla Basement

James Dewitt Yancey (February 7, 1974 – February 10, 2006), better known by the stage names J Dilla and Jay Dee, was an American record producer, drummer, rapper, and songwriter. He emerged during the mid-1990s underground hip hop scene in Detroit, as a member of the group Slum Village. He was also a member of the Soulquarians, a musical collective active during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Yancey died at the age of 32 from a combination of TTP and lupus. J Dilla's music raised the artistic level of hip-hop production in Detroit. According to The Guardian, "His affinity for crafting lengthy, melodic loops peppered with breakbeats and vocal samples took instrumental hip-hop into new, more musically complex realms." In particular, his approach to drum programming, with its loose, or "drunk" style that experimented with non-standard quantization, has been influential on producers and drummers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J_Dilla
